Filter Press System for Industrial Wastewater Treatment Facility

Complete engineering, control system design, and startup services were implemented for an Evoqua Filter Press system for the plant effluent process. Our team conducted a thorough safety instrument system (SIS) failure analysis and worked on integrating the existing PLC logic with the SCADA system. The project included the preparation of control philosophies for equipment automation, including integration with the LUCAS® and digester tank systems. Detailed engineering work included reviewing P&ID drawings, panel design, developing elementary drawings, creating cable schedules, and selecting appropriate instruments. In addition, compliance with functional safety management requirements was verified.
In the programming and integration phase, PLC and OIT development/programming were completed, along with integration into the existing SCADA HMI system. Collaboration with electricians and automation technicians ensured smooth commissioning. The site remained online during startup testing due to meticulous planning and a pre-determined checklist, ensuring minimal disruption and successful project delivery.
